landscapes

One area of photography I love is landscapes. Personally, I really enjoy going out and chasing that early morning or late afternoon light. It's amazing the colours that this light brings, along wih the beautiful landscape that the light falls on. We truly are so lucky to have this wonderful country we live in.

I have been fortunate to have been working in the North West of Western Australia for the past three years, which has given me a great platform to learn. I was inspired more by meeting some of W'A's best photographers last year at the P.H.otography  workshops in Port Hedland. Having the honour of meeting Christian Fletcher, Paul Parin and David Bettini, all successful photographers in their own rights, gave me the drive I really needed to set about developing my skills and techniques, and really showed me the quality of the final reults that you need have to be at that level. I really took to the panoramic format, which is a 3 to 2 format, three times as wide as high. So new techniques had to be learnt.

One subject I've always been fascinated with are thunderstorms. Just the sheer power, and majestic beauty that these forces of nature create make for amazing photographic subjects. Many a late night has been spent chasing these storms, but with a lot of patience, and a knowledge of the weather, you can capture that amazing photo.

I will be offering my landscape photos for sale, so stay tuned!!!
